Anyone can contribute compute to the network. The testnet has a base currency of ETH & a utility token called LP. Receive LP to pay for jobs (and nodes to stake) from the Lilypad faucet. v2 is an IPC compatible network written in Go. Modules include Filecoin data prep, Stable Diffusion (SDXL0.9), LoRA fine tuning module, LLM Inference, DuckDB, and more! Improved developer experience with detailed documentation and examples.

Devs and infra providers contribute their machines and experiment with running workloads directly over decentralized models and datasets. The goal is to stress test core network functions like job scheduling, compute resource allocation and data routing.

The Incentivized testnet aka “IncentiveNet” will run in phases testing out and rewarding different aspects of the market including compute providers, module providers, security bounties, game theory aspects, and application developers. IncentiveNet will run up to Lilypad Mainnet launch.

The Lilypad Whitepaper and Tokenomics will be released in mid Q4 2024. The Lilypad research team is working in partnership with the CryptoEconLab (from Protocol Labs) to design the economic systems powering the Lilypad Mainnet. The Lilypad module marketplace provides an end to end interface to add/run AI models and other programs on the Lilypad Network. Over time, Lilypad will deploy to multiple blockchains. This multi-chain strategy will be released in December 2024.

As part of building the decentralized AI ecosystem, network tooling will be supported with an API for end-users, additional module creation tooling, and eventually a full SDK. Lilypad will support integrations and plugins from a variety of partners for decentralized storage, AI models, and more. The Lilypad Network Mainnet and TGE is scheduled to launch in late March - April 2025. Smart contract audits will commence in January for all Lilypad on-chain contracts.

Mainnet launch with Lilypad tokens paid to compute providers. Compute providers will earn tokens for processing compute jobs and providing verification of GPU uptime.

Efforts will focus on tooling and support to grow the Lilypad Mainnet. The Lilypad Module Marketplace platform will serve a wide range of end users. A diverse offering of GPUs and tooling for end users will position the Lilypad Network for explosive growth after Mainnet launch.
